I can’t stop thinking about zines! There’s something about the DIY casual nature of them that has just been rolling around in my head nonstop. I just finished making the SPILLED INK: YEAR ONE zine and here’s the cover for it.

It’s pretty cool huh? These should be up for sale pretty soon so that’s exciting. In addition this is my first project where I intentionally declared “No ads. No copyright. Kopimi” which primarily comes from reading too many anarchist rags. To me, it’s actually about avoiding the legal troubles of the fanart in this zine and to encourage more zine and DIY circulation. I doubt anybody will actually take apart and copy the book… but could be cool! I make zines because I love making zines, not because I want to capitalize and profit off of it. I’m also working on a new old-school fanzine called “GAG!” and I opened some submissions for it. It should be pretty cool and ideally I’ll get more people to be involved in the wonderful community of zines. I just wrapped up my portion of the zine, so I’m gonna give a bit of time for submissions and then go ahead and format the book. Anyways, zines are cool and you should make some. LONG LIVE DIY
